Herbs with Galactagogue Properties

Basil, Borage*, Caraway, Dill, European Vervain, Fennel, Goat's Rue*, Iceland Moss*, Milkwort, Nettle*.

 Borage - Borago officinalis - CAUTION: Contact with the fresh leaves may cause dermatitis in sensitive individuals. Prolonged use is not advised.

 Goat's Rue - Galega officinalis - CAUTION: Sheep have been poisoned by the fresh plant. Use only under medical direction.

 Iceland Moss - Cetraria islandica - CAUTION: Prolonged use or excessive dosage may cause gastrointestinal irritation and liver problems.

 Nettle - Urtica dioica - CAUTION: Do not eat old plants uncooked; they can produce symptoms of poisoning or even kidney damage. Handle the fresh plant with care as the hairy stems act like hypodermic needles, injecting a substance that is irritating under the skin.
