Herbs with Carminitive Properties

Allspice, Angelica*, Anise, Balm, Basil, Betony, Brier Hip, Buchu, Chamomile, Caraway, Cardamon, Carline Thistle, Carrot, Catnip, Celery, Chickweed, Coriander, Cubeb, Dill, Fennel, Ferula, Feverfew, Fragrant Valerian*, Garlic, Ginger, Goldenrod, Hyssop, Juniper*, Laurel, Lavender, Lovage*, Marjoram, Masterwort*, Milfoil*, Mint, Monarda, Myrrh, Nutmeg*, Onion, Orange, Parsley, Pennyroyal*, Pimpernel, Pleurisy Root*, Rue*, Sarsaparilla, Savory, Star Anise*, Sweet Cicely, Sweet Flag, Thyme*, Wild Ginger, Wild Hyssop, Wintergreen*, Wormwood*.

 Fragrant Valerian - Valeriana officinalis - CAUTION: Large doses or extended use of this herb can cause symptoms of poisoning. Take 2x daily for no more than two to three weeks at a time.

 Pleurisy Root - Asclepias tuberosa - CAUTION: Animals that have fed on the leaves and stems of this plant have been poisoned. Care should be used when using the fresh root, as undesirable effects may occur.

 Star Anise - Illicium anisatum or Illicium verum - CAUTION: Commercial star anise seeds may be adulterated with a poisonous, similar but slightly smaller and darker, seed of another plant. These have a sharp and bitter odor, resembling cardamom rather than anise.
