Herbs with Anticatarrhal Properties

Angelica*, Anise, Bayberry, Bistort, Cayenne*, Coltsfoot, Comfrey, Cranesbill, Elecampane, Figs, Flax Seed*, Garlic, Ginger, Horseradish*, Irish Moss*, Lobelia*, Lungwort, Marshmallow, Raisins, Wild Chery*, Yerba Santa.

  Angelica - (See Antiasthmatics)

  Cayenne - Capsicum frutescens - CAUTION: Dermatitis and blisters can occur with prolonged contact with the skin. Gastroenteritis and kidney damage can occur with excessive consumption.

  Flax Seed - (See Antacids)

  Horseradish - Armoracia lapathifolia - CAUTION: Large quantities of this herb should not be taken at one time. If diarrhea or night sweats occur, discontinue use.

  Lobelia - (See Antiabortives)

  Wild Cherry - Prunus serotina -CAUTION: Leaves of the Wild Cherry have poisoned cattle, especially when wilted.
