Blue Flag - Iris versicolor - CAUTION:
This herb contains an acrid, resinous substance that affects the
gastrointestinal tract and may cause dermatitis in certain individuals.

Celandine
- Chelidonium
majus - CAUTION: Celandine can have a narcotic
affect on the nervous system and can also produce poisoning to the lungs and
liver by congestion. It is also known to have caused skin poisoning to those who
handle the crushed plant.
Indian Turnip -
Arisaema
triphyllum - CAUTION: The root of this plant is too
dangerous to use in the fresh or partially dried stage without medical
supervision.
Nettle -
Urtica dioica - CAUTION:
Kidney damage and poisoning symptoms can occur if the old plants are eaten
uncooked. When touched, the hairs on this plant act like a hypodermic needle,
injecting a substance under the skin that is very irritating. Use caution when
handling.
Sage -
Salvia officinalis
- CAUTION: Long term or overuse of sage can cause
symptoms of poisoning.
