Abortifacients - Antibiotics

Abortifacients
These are herbs that can induce or cause the premature birth or expulsion of a
fetus. It is not recommended that you try this. This type of herb usually has
other qualities that make them very useful in other cases.
JUST BE CAREFUL NOT TO ADMINISTER THESE HERBS TO PREGNANT WOMEN.
Acrids
This is an herb that will have a hot, bitter taste and can cause heat or
irritation if applied to the skin.
Alteratives
These are the blood purifying herbs. These herbs will act mainly on the
following organs; bowels, kidneys, liver, and the spleen. Over a long period of
time, these herbs will detoxify, which will benefit the entire system.
Anodynes & Analgesics
These are herbs that will ease or relieve pain. They calm the nerves and are
related to the antispasmodics. These can be used both internally (teas,
tinctures, powders) and externally (fomentations).
Anthelmintics
These herbs can destroy intestinal worms or parasites. There are two
categories of anthelmintics; Vermicides - these destroy worms without
necessarily expelling them. They should be used with laxative herbs. Vermifuges
- These herbs expel parasites and worms from the bowels. These will evacuate the
upper intestines and the bowels very rapidly. There are two other categories
that deal specifically with tapeworms, but most of the herbs will fall into the
two mentioned. For informational purposes Taeniafuges expel tapeworms, and
Taeniacides kill tapeworms in the body.
Antacids
Herbs that will correct an acid condition in the stomach, blood, and bowels.
Antiabortives
These are herbs that will counteract the tendency to abort.
Antiasthmatics
Herbs used to relieve asthma.
Antibiotics
These are herbs that inhibit the growth of, and destroy viruses and
bacteria.
