These herbs will counteract nausea and relieve vomiting.
Antihydrotic
These herbs will reduce or suppress perspiration.
Antilithics
These herbs will help to dissolve and discharge urinary and gall bladder
stones and gravel.
Antipyretics
Fever reducing or preventing herbs. Coolant herbs.
Antiscorbutics
Herbs that are used as a source of vitamin C and for curing and preventing
scurvy.
Antiseptics
An agent for destroying or inhibiting pathogenic or putrifactive bacteria.
Antispasmodics
Herbs used to treat spasms, cramps, and convulsions.
Aperients
These herbs will promote a soft stool and have a mild laxative effect.
Aphrodisiacs
These herbs will help correct impotence and restore sexual drive.
Aromatics
These are herbs with a fragrant smell and an agreeable taste. They will have
a stimulating effect on the gastrointestinal tract as well as aid in digestion
and expelling gas. IF THERE IS INFLAMMATION OF THE
STOMACH, THESE HERBS SHOULD BE AVOIDED.
Astringents
Herbs with this property will increase the tone and firmness of the tissues.
They reduce secretions from the nose, throat, intestines, vagina, and draining
sores.
